Back in January, on another freezing cold day, Natalie and Jesse were sealed in the Payson Temple. I’m so grateful I was able to capture their beautiful day and share in their joy – I’m so sorry I’m so far behind and you had to wait so long to see your photos on the blog!
It all started because I was going to Utah for Skylar and Avery’s wedding. My best friend MaryRuth asked me if I would be willing to take her little brother’s wedding pictures if the timing worked out. (of course I would, for her!!) They decided to get married the day after Skylar and Avery, mostly because I was available to take their pictures. I have never done back to back wedding days before, or had a bride and groom pick their day to have me be their photographer. It was a LOT of work and I was exhausted by the time I had done two 10 hour wedding days and been on my feet for two days. But it was TOTALLY worth it!!!
Jesse and Natalie met at church and as they say, the rest is history. I hear there were some adventures while they were dating, like a scary car accident where they were rear ended by a semi. {so glad they were safe}.
I’ve known Jesse since he was a little boy, MaryRuth and I have been friends for 30 years and I remember him running around playing every time I would go see her. I can’t believe he’s old enough to be married. I was sure it would be an emotional day for their family, their mom passed away in September of 2017 from cancer and I knew all too well how hard this day would be without her. I had just spend the day before with my family celebrating my little brother, without our mamma and I knew that it would be emotional to do it all again. I loved their mamma, she was one of the best examples of love and kindness I’ve ever known. She was just like a second mom to me and treated me like I was her own anytime I was around her. As I sat in the sealing room with their family, I was overcome with emotion as I witnessed all 8 of their children together to celebrate Jesse. I know that she was there and that she was so proud of the choices they are making.
Their wedding day was perfect, everything was beautiful and it was so fun to spend the day with them. Jesse and Natalie, I wish you all the best in your new life together. I wish you health, happiness and just enough adventure to keep you on your toes.
Couldn’t love these more!!❤
